Meet The New Director of our Horizons Neurological Program, Ryan Ahern, MS, OTR

Ryan graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2009 with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and for the past 12 years has worked with pediatric, young adult and geriatric populations in school based, outpatient, acute, subacute and long-term care settings. He has been with Allaire Rehab and Nursing for 4 years and is now transitioning from his role of Assistant Director of Therapy to the Director of our Horizon’s Neurological program. He will continue to collaborate with our physiatrist Dr. Steven Neuman, the Kane Wound Care team and our preferred vendors to meet each resident’s individual seating and technology based needs.

“What I like best about my new role is continuing my relationships with our residents, families and staff to develop meaningful programming which meets each resident’s unique needs. Disability can often mean impactful life changes for each individual and family we serve. Our goal is to support individuals through these challenging times. I look forward to working with our team in developing positive changes each day which will lead to a better tomorrow for everyone involved.”
